Co-founder
Abhijeet Nalawade
Abhijeet Nalawade is a performer, writer, and creative force whose journey moves fluidly between stage, screen, and storytelling. His love for performance began in Karjat, where a junior college play won him the State-level Best Actor Award. At Ruia College, his turn as Romeo in a playful spoof of Romeo & Juliet revealed not just his talent but his instinct for reinvention — a quality that continues to define his craft. He trained rigorously for two years at Swatantra Theatre, performing in multiple productions, most memorably as Vishwasrao in Vijay Tendulkar’s Ashi Pakhare Yeti — a role that earned wide appreciation from audiences and peers alike. His creative inquiry deepened through the SOPE workshop and a masterclass at Adishakti Institute of Theatre Arts and Research, Pondicherry, where he later became a Steering Committee member and led the Maharashtra tour of their acclaimed play Bhoomi. On screen, Abhijeet recently played the second lead in Abhijit Panse’s Marathi web series Purush, sharing the frame with stalwarts Sachin Khedekar and Mrunmayee Deshpande. As a writer and creator, Abhijeet’s work explores the intersection of solitude, silence, and desire. He co-wrote the screenplay and penned the dialogues for The Mushrooms, also portraying The Caretaker — a character caught between isolation and forbidden longing. His writing journey began early, with poetry and one-act plays in school, and his short story Laath — inspired by the Zaveri Bazaar bomb blast — won first prize at a Mumbai University-level competition. Writing in Marathi, Hindi, and English, he continues to craft narratives that celebrate human emotion, resilience, and truth — both on paper and on screen. Beyond acting and writing, Abhijeet has studied cinematography under FTII veteran A.S. Kanal, enriching his understanding of visual storytelling and expanding his creative vocabulary as a filmmaker. As an entrepreneur, he brings the same vision to his ventures — heading a 20-year-old agri-inputs company and co-founding Lasaki Media Works LLP, a 10-year-old content agency and production house that has delivered advertisements, documentaries, food shows, and music videos. For Abhijeet, creation — whether through performance, writing, or image — remains a way to engage deeply with the human condition.
